Description

Beautiful, straightlined Biedermeier bookcase or display cabinet in cherry wood veneer from southern Germany around 1820.

  • Blonde book-matched cherry wood veneered on softwood.
  • The door’s end strip is also a mirror image and veneered on three sides in cherry wood with fine ebony inlays
  • Ebonized inner and outer edges of the doors, key crests, skirting and cornice moldings
  • Old glass panes with an in-between decorative trim.
  • Inside covered with black fabric and 5 adjustable shelves.
  • Original hinges.
  • 2 bolts on the left, a box lock on the right.
  • Good condition.
  • Restored and hand polished with shellac.
