Elegant large Empire or early Biedermeier armoire wfrom Austria, Vienna circa 1815.

  • The armoire has a beautiful book-matched walnut veneer and is shellac hand-polished (French Polish).
  • The doors inside are counter veneered in cherry wood. Big iron box lock and locking bars.
  • Two ebonized full-columns with corinthian brass capitels and bases. Ebonized trims on the cornice, legs and between the doors.
  • The furniture been built circa 1815 in the transition phase between the two neoclassical epochs of Empire and early Biedermeier.
  • It is very straightlined in its shape and speaks through the vividness of the veneered walnut wood and the beautiful brass details.
  • On the inside, it has 3 adjustable shelves covered with black fabric.
  • The armoire can be completely dismantled for transport (Top, Bottom, 2 sides, 2 doors, 2 backsides).
