The Elda Lounge Chair by Joe Colombo is a futuristic masterpiece of the 1960s and a visionary, now timeless design icon.

  • This piece is an early original from the first generation, manufactured by Comfort in Meda, Italy.

In the 1960s, the Italian manufacturer Comfort, based in Meda near Milan, produced several designs by Joe Colombo, including the Elda and Supercomfort plastic lounge chairs. Later, starting in 2007, the company Fratelli Longhi continued Comfort’s tradition and produced Colombo’s Elda and Astrea lounge chairs (both designed in 1963).
