Elegant, elaborately hand-crafted Louis XVI. Commode from Austria/Vienna and 1780-1800.

Walnut and cherry veneer with inlays in plum, maple, ebony and green-stained wood.

Gold-leaf decorative strip above and below and ornaments in the middle.

Large box lock on the central drawer that locks the other drawers up and down.

Original iron fittings. Would have been coated in the past. Can still be brassed or fire-gilded.
