Elegant early Biedermeier commode or chest of drawers from Austria around 1820
Walnut veneer on softwood. Griffins inlaid in ebony as key plates. Two ebonized full columns. 3 drawers. Top drawer offset to the front and has 4 hidden inner compartments in the back made of softwood. 2 box locks below, and admission lock above.
Restored and hand polished with shellac.
