Description

Gorgeous, early Biedermeier / Empire Half-Cabinet or Chest from Southern Germany around 1820.

  • Cherry veneered on softwood and solid cherry.
  • Ebonized full columns with old gilt corinthian capitals and bases.
  • One drawer at the top with recessed handles on the underside.
  • Two doors below, lockable by tongue and groove with old box lock.
  • Inside counter-veneered in cherry wood, outside with two ebonized diamonds.
  • One softwood inlay board inside.
  • Restored and hand-polished with shellac.
