Description

Small, round, three-legged Biedermeier sewing or side table with flap from Southern Germany around 1820.

  • Cherry veneered and solid, partly ebonized
  • Three-legged with intermediate tableau and rung railing
  • Original brass fittings and iron lock
  • Interior with several subdivided compartments
  • Top plate strongly bend
  • Star-shaped veneer on the top, some veneers replaced and ebonized circle inlay
  • Restored condition, hand polished with shellac.
