Beautiful original Art Deco bronze sculpture of a woman with a dove, from France, Paris, around 1925.

  • Signed “A. GENNARELLI” on the plinth and numbered ‘A-7291’.
  • Artist: Amedeo Gennarelli (1881-1943)
  • Additionally provided with round foundry mark of the renowned “Fonderie des Bords de Seine”, Paris.
  • Exquisite bronze sculpture by the Italian-French sculptor A. Gennarelli, created around 1925. 
  • The elegant, unclothed female figure sits upright on a classical pedestal and holds a dove in her outstretched hand – a poetic symbol of peace, freedom and hope.
  • The dynamic movement of the flowing hair and the graceful gestures are typical of Art Deco and show Gennarelli’s stylistic proximity to the Écoles de Paris.
  • Executed in fine bronze with a warm, slightly brownish nuanced patina.
