Pair of Bauhaus / Mid-Century armchairs by Gelenka from Germany, circa 1950.
- Slightly curved beech wood armrests.
- Seat and back with solid beech wood with slats pushed on rubber bands.
- Restored condition, stabilized and refinished with shellac.
- Excellent seating comfort.
- Manufacturer: Gelenka-Patentmöbelfabrik, Wolfhagen & Emil Plarre, Leipzig.
- Design: Ernst Breitenborn and often also attributed to Erich Dieckmann.
- Execution: 1940s-1960s, from a series of winter garden furniture, probably built between 1953–58.
