Description
Beautiful pair of original Biedermeier bergere chairs in cherry wood from Austria around 1830.
- Cherry veneer and solid, hand-polished with shellac (french polished).
- Solid cherry stollen feet. Square tapered conical legs at the back, curved outwards.
- “C” volutes on the front of the armrests.
- Curved, veneered backboard, fitted to the back when seated.
- Newly upholstered in black and white striped Boucle fabric reminiscent of a beach towel.
