Beautiful large sculpture of a striding lioness by Christian Aeckerlin (1884 Darmstadt – 1943 Stuttgart)

Cast bronze with dark brown patina. Standing on a rectangular bronze plinth.

Engraved signed “CH. AECKERLIN”, with Gieser stamp “DÜSSELDF. BRONZEGIESSEREI G.M.B.H.”

(Formerly “Düsseldorfer Bild- und Broncegiesserei Förster & Kracht”, founded in 1898).
