Art Deco sculpture „Dancer with disks“ by Max Le Verrier, Signed Derenne, France circa 1930.

Elegant Dancer with two disks („danseuse aux disque“ or „danseuse aux cymbales„). Typical Art Deco motif.
Sculpture in spelter with a green patina. Signed edition cast iron. Rests on a marble base. Exceptional and rare original sculpture designed by Derenne and manufactured at the foundry of Max le Verrier. This beautiful petite art deco figure in the shape of a disc dancer was made in the 1920s and is signed by Derenne, what was a pseudonym use by Marcel Bouraine. The piece stands on a black marble base.
Marcel Bouraine (1886–1948), born in Pontoise, France, was self-taught and also exhibited at all the main Paris salons.
