Description
Beautiful, high-quality mid-century home bar or corner bar in teak, brass, and green linoleum, from South Africa circa 1950.
- Curved shape, designed as a corner bar to be placed against the wall with the left side (chipboard on the outside). The right side facing the room is made of teak. At the front, there are many stacked wooden slats with visible grain, probably made of teak.
- A thick (0.7 cm) and high (3.7 cm) brass strip with shell-shaped attachments and a beautiful patina runs around the top and bottom.
- Stands on six tall, cast brass legs.
- Surface in original light green linoleum.
- Inside the back with several open compartments, a drawer, and a removable copper ice container.
- Very good original condition, cleaned and oiled.
- The bar was imported from South Africa to Munich in the 1940s/50s, where we were able to purchase it.
